Getting around was slow, and moving heavy things was a huge headache, mostly done with horses and carts that would get stuck in muddy roads. Well, in that world, there was a guy, George Stephenson, who changed everything. For me, he's one of those geniuses you see once in a lifetime. George was born in 1781, in England, and he didn't have an easy life. His family was humble, and he started working as a child, in coal mines, herding cattle. He didn't even go to school.
